The two fees Moon describes
1. Bet open fee
Moon states that users pay a 1% fee on the wager amount each time a new bet is opened. It is charged up front, whether the bet later wins or loses. On a $100 wager the open fee is $1; on a $10,000 wager it is $100.
2. Performance fee
Moon describes the performance fee as dynamic: it depends on the total wager size and on how much the asset has moved in your favour. It applies when a profitable position is closed, so it scales with winnings rather than with the wager alone. Moon does not publish a single flat percentage for it on the affiliate page, which is why you should check the fee schedule inside your account before betting.
Moon's worked example
Moon's affiliate page uses these numbers to show how fees flow. They illustrate the mechanism; your own fees will differ.
| Item | Bet open fee example | Performance fee example |
|---|---|---|
| Basis | $10,000 wager | $1,000 profit closed |
| Moon fee | $100 (1%) | $100 |
| Expected bonuses (paid back to users) | $50 | $50 |
| Theoretical profit for Moon | $50 | $50 |
| Affiliate commission (10%) | $5 | $5 |
Where rakeback fits in
Rakeback is applied to fees, not to wagers or winnings. With affiliate attribution through the RAZOR referral link, your account can activate 3.5% rakeback on eligible fees. Using the example above, if a $100 bet open fee is eligible, 3.5% of it is $3.50 returned to you. Which fees count as eligible, and how the credit is delivered, is decided by Moon.
What fees mean for a leveraged bet
Moon advertises leverage up to 1000x. Fees are calculated on the wager you put in, but leverage changes how fast that wager can be lost. A 1% open fee on a highly leveraged bet is small next to the risk of the position itself. Treat fees as one cost among several and never bet money you cannot afford to lose.
Check the current schedule on Moon
Moon links to a "Fee Structure" page from its footer and shows fees inside the betting interface before you confirm a wager. Those sources override anything written here. We update this page when we notice a change, but Moon can adjust fees without notice.
